I made quite a fancy leisure hat. Out of this.

Venice is sooooooo beautiful and romantic!

Currently I´m working on my diploma film. Puuh.... Hard Time...Social life suffers already...Last week I started to layout some scenes, that I had in my mind  for a long time. I tried to find out, how the film  should look like. You see some of the   scenes below.  Working on that, I realized that I have  pretty lousy skills  in foreshortening!  Well, I have to deal with that somehow...Find a way between practising hard and not giving a fuck about my poor technical skills.  The next days, I´m going to write down  some more scenes to get the storyline more clear and to develop the other  characters „Möppi Weisbrodt“ and „Nort Permaneder-Faxn“.

Introduction sequence

After spending the last weeks mainly with: Coping with annoying bugs in Flash CS3, curing a tendinitis, watching sitcoms, and developing an interest for nail lacquer, I also animated the introduction sequence for  „Menschen AT“. ( It´s still a working title.) Here are some stills and the musictheme, which is a bit melancholic but also quite daft. Not to mention that it becomes  more and more colorful.

Yiiiiiiiip-yip-yip-yip-yip ooohhhh yiiiip-yip-yip-yip!

Two of my films won a shortfilm prize last week! „Mr Hasingers Homecoming“ won  the Max-Bresele-Memorial- Prize at the Regensburger Kurzfilmwoche.  As a big fan of Jim Henson I was totally delighted by the fact that the jury  compared my film with the weirdness of Sesame Street!     You can read the whole jury statement on the homepage of the festival ( award winners 2010)

Another film that won an award was „Technology Related Anger (T.R.A.)“. It was screened at the charming little festival Lichter Filmtage Frankfurt and has been awarded for the best short.

Title, Tech & Cake  News

I finally had a good idea for the title* of  my diploma film. I like it very  much not only because it sounds a bit mathe-matical. And...What else was it, I wanted to tell...... eh.......Oh... yes! Of course!  I also decided to do the film in innovative „Multicolourwidesreenmadness TeChNoLoGy“. It´s an amazing new procedure, very expensive, very complex, very complicated, very new. As a matter of course  I´m a bit proud of the fact that I actually pioneer this technical approach because well...I sort of ehm.. invented it.... Ehm. So.... I am really proud of myself...yes! And  today I made a strawberry cake. Proud of that too. That´s it.

that I don´t need anymore.

Excellent!

And the winners are...

First of all we have to say that the number of participants was  larger than  ever  expected. We even had contributions from abroad and a wide range of answers ... Yet it´s sad to say that none of the participants has submitted the correct answer:-(  You  can find the solution below. It wasn´t that tricky eh?

But we  couldn´t help letting win all of the participants anyway!!! So, congratulations to Mr. M. Föllmi from Swizerland, and Mr. A. Lenz from Hamburg!!! You both are the lucky winners! We will contact you later  via E-Mail  to disclose the award details! We wish all winners a lot of fun with their prizes!

Smash the Business Twit

A friend of mine, aksed me recently : “Hey Eva, how about making games for ipads/iphones.  Just think out something and I´ll do all the programming stuff.“ After a bit of  moaning on my part ( „Oh I´d love tooo... but....*groan* Diplooooohhm...*sigh* ahhhh....“) pleasure won out over objection and I worked out a very simple idea. Currently Der Warst is tinkering with the score, and soon the game will be available here.

Main Character is THE KOLK. His task is to throw stupid objects (ipads, flipcharts, money, etc.) on stupid subjects. That´s pretty much it.

Teaser

I putted a little teaser  of „n gschichtn“ (that´s the final title) on Youtube.
